Welcome to Springhallow Post 16
Opening – Autumn 2019
We are pleased to confirm the expansion of Springhallow School in Autumn 2019. We will be offering a tailored Programme to students aged 16-19 based offsite at Redwood College. We will continue to deliver a high level of education, which will be bespoke to students with Autism for up to 30 students over a three year period.
Springhallow has a strong belief that all young people should have an opportunity in life to reach their potential. Therefore this new provision will offer students with Autism an opportunity to integrate with others in a College setting that is unique and manageable. Based at Redwood College, students can enjoy a learning environment that is exclusive to them, but also where they can integrate with non-Springhallow students. We have designed a curriculum that suits students with a range of abilities and goals using three differentiated Pathways (1, 2 and 3).
In addition to this exciting new provision to Ealing, we are pleased to announce a joint collaboration with Dynamic Training. Their aim is to develop individuals who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by improving how young people learn about themselves, the skills that are needed for life and the world of work. This will be available to Pathway 1 and 2 learners only for at least one day per week. All other learning will be delivered by staff from Springhallow Post 16.
Pathways 1 – Formal Curriculum for students working at Functional Skills Level 1 & 2
Pathways 2- Semi-Formal Curriculum for students working at Functional skills Entry 2 & 3
Pathways 3 – Informal Curriculum for students at Pre Entry/Entry 1
